"The Walking Snail"

©2023

Creator: Laura Sutherland

An intensely focused scientist works through complicated formulas, tangled code, and bubbling chemical reactions, convinced he is nearing a major breakthrough. Yet at the center of his elaborate experiment sits one perfectly ordinary snail. Whatever discovery he is chasing, the final result may look nothing like what he expects.

Collection

Stop-mo Capsule is a digital collection archive documenting selected student stop-motion works from Pratt Institute’s School of Art and Animation. The archive extends the second biennial Stop-Motion Show, held at the Pratt Brooklyn Campus Library and Archives in 2026, by preserving access to films, puppets, props, sketches, process materials, and 3D scans after the physical exhibition.

Student creators retain ownership of their individual works. Materials are shared for educational, archival, and research purposes only. Do not reproduce, distribute, exhibit, or commercially use images, videos, 3D scans, metadata, or process materials without permission from the appropriate creator, rights holder, or custodian.
